Sujaya Dasgupta
Sujaya Dasgupta is a British Indian actress known for her roles in a range of productions across screen and stage, best recognised for the portrayal of Kavita in Shantaram and Zoya Nazyalensky in theNetflix hit show Shadow and Bone.
Graduating from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, she established the foundations of a brilliant actor through her appearances on stage in productions like Silence (Donmar Warehouse) and A Thousand Splendid Suns (Birmingham Rep), she began building momentum through a variety of notable roles in series such as Guilt, Press, and Casualty.
In 2019, Dasgupta joined the cast of Netflix’s Shadow and Bone, embracing the character of Zoya seamlessly, and her portrayal of the fan-favourite character was widely celebrated. Coinciding with the hype around Shadow and Bone, Dasgupta also joined the cast of Shantaram, taking on the recurring role of Kavita. Sujaya returned to the role of Zoya in the second season of Shadow and Bone, with fans once again delighted with her performance.
