Clinton Liberty
Clinton Liberty is an Irish actor known for roles across stage and screen, recognised for his portrayals of Kiernan in Normal People, DI Linus Dunne in Holding and most recently, Addam of Hull in HBO’s smash-hit House of the Dragon.
Liberty graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from the Lir Academy at Trinity College Dublin, a big year that would be topped off by an appearance on stage in a production of The Anvil.
Though Clinton had already appeared on screen in the coming-of-age film, Handsome Devil, his portfolio was destined to grow with the additions of films such as Power Out, Wrapped and This Is Christmas.
As for his television credentials, the young actor has since struck a chord with fans, recognizable for his roles as Kiernan in the 2020 miniseries Normal People and Marcus in the international spy drama series Red Election. This was followed by the leading role of DI Linus Dunne in the four-part ITV television series Holding, based on the debut novel by Graham Norton. Additionally, Clinton has lent his voice to the titular character of Flix in the animated comedy series of the same name.
Most recently, Clinton has stepped into the role of Addam of Hull in HBO’s House of the Dragon. A popular character, well-known to book readers, this role will continue the rise in Clinton’s career. He can also be seen in the post-apocalyptic film Touchdown.
