Sam Phillips
Sam Phillips is an English actor known for roles across stage and screen, best recognised for his portrayals of the Stephen Chambers in The Crown and Lord Debling in Bridgerton.
Since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Phillips has appeared on stage in a number of roles across various productions such as Inherit the Wind, Much Ado About Nothing and The History Boys.
His screen credits boast a diverse portfolio, including appearances in children’s comedy Hotel Trubble, The Syndicate, Far From The Madding Crowd, Micro Men, My Family, and EastEnders: E20.
In 2019, Phillips stepped back in time, joining the cast of Netflix smash-hit The Crown to appear alongside Olivia Coleman as Stephen Chambers, the Queen’s Equerry - a role that spanned 17 episodes over two years, and won two SAG awards.
Recently, Phillips gained international acclaim for his role as Lord Debling in the third season of Netflix’s Bridgerton, where he captivated audiences as a love interest and suitor of one of the lead characters, Penelope Featherington.
