Fady Elsayed
Fady Elsayed is a British-Egyptian actor best known for his roles of Mo in Sally El-Hosaini’s My Brother is the Devil, Ram Singh in the British science fiction drama, Class, and as Mourad in A Private War.
With his eyes initially set on football, his passion for acting began to thrive when he got involved with the stage in high school. At the age of 16, Elsayed joined The Young Actors Theatre in Islington.
After being nominated for the Best Newcomer Award at the BFI London Film Festival for his first lead role in My Brother the Devil, it was soon apparent that the young actor had his future career already cemented. From that point onwards, Elsayed has appeared in several television series including Casualty, Silent Witness, and Penny Dreadful.
In 2016, Elsayed was announced as one of the main cast members in the BBC Three Doctor Who spin-off, Class. Staying true to his roots, Elsayed’s character is a talented football player from Coal Hill Academy, thrust into a world of alien threats while trying to deal with the stresses of everyday life.
Fady’s projects have seen him play Mourad in A Private War alongside Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan and Stanley Tucci, and Ibrahim Jabani in acclaimed series Baghdad Central.
Elsayed also recently played Faz in Gangs of London, Glaucus/Minotaur in Netflix’s smash-hit Kaos, and Ali El Mansour in BBC & HBO’s Industry.
