Sam Clemmett

Sam Clemmett is a British actor known for roles across stage and screen, best known for the portrayal of Young Brimsley in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story and Albus Severus Potter in the West End and Broadway adaptations of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Though acting was a hobby for a young Sam Clemmett, he underwent intensive training at the National Youth Theatre at the age of 16. From there, Clemmett made his professional acting debut in a production of Lord of the Flies at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in the role of Bill.

In 2013, Clemmett ventured into television, making a guest appearance in Foyle’s War, before securing further roles in British television staples The Musketeers, Holby City and Endeavor. Sam also gave strong performances in the independent film The War Below and opposite Tom Holland in Apple TV’s hit movie, Cherry.

For fans of theatre, Clemmett is a familiar face following a four-year stint in the role of Albus Severus Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Parts One and Two). Stating that it was the most fun he’s had in his life, Clemmett delivered the role to audiences on both West End and Broadway stages, earning widespread acclaim.

Most recently, Clemmett appeared in the role of Young Brimsley in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The prequel to the popular Netflix hit Bridgerton, Sam gave a strong performance as the younger version of the Queen’s attendant, Brimsley, adding depth and nuance to the character.
