Sophie Hopkins
Sophie Hopkins is a British actress and model best known for her role as April MacLean in the British science fiction drama, Class.
Studying performing arts and musical theatre at the City of Yorkshire College, Sophie soon moved to London, joining a theatre company dedicated to training new performers of the entertainment industry.
Appearing in a variety of short films and documentaries, it wasn’t until 2016 that she found her most successful foundations. Announced as one of the main cast members in the BBC Three Doctor Who spin-off Class, Sophie was soon tipped as the British Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Alongside her fellow cast members her character is thrust into a world of the abnormal whilst trying to battle the everyday stresses of teenage life.
Sophie also appeared as the lead in Brackenmore, a horror- thriller set in rural Ireland, as well as in Hurt by Paradise, portraying Camille Castel. In 2020, Sophie appeared as George and Georgina Garrett in Trickster.
Most recently, Hopkins can be seen in an episode of The Long Shadow, a show about the infamous Yorkshire Ripper, as a lead in the TV movie The Venice Murders and in The Man Who Saved The Internet With A Sunflower.
